20 Mar Queenstown – The coolest city ever!! New Zealand Photo Diary & Travel Tips
I left my heart in New Zealand β‘ The last city we visited here in New Zealand really took my breath away. Unfortunately our time in this beautiful country is already coming to an end. But the best comes usually last, right π That is definitely true in our case:
QUEENSTOWN
For those who don’t know Queenstown: The city is known as metropolis for all action lovers. I can’t think of any other city where you can do so many cool things like in New Zealand. You can for instance do one of the highest skydives in the world, go bungee jumping, paragliding while enjoying a dream panorama etc. Because I’m a true adventurer when it comes to traveling and because I also like extremes (sorry Mom and Dad π ) Queenstown is already super attractive to me.
Furthermore, there is such a stunning landscape in Queenstwon including mountains and some amazing panoramas. Because all of that Queenstown has become my favorite city in New Zealand (and also one of my favorite cities in the world). Thank you so much for all you cute readers of mine who told me that I should definitely visit Queenstown. Only because of you I found this lovely place. This shows me again how valuable my Blog really is π Thanks a mil β‘
To Queenstown, back to Auckland and from Auckland to Los Angeles we flew again withΒ Air New Zealand. I can only mention it again how I love flying with them π Here you can read my review about Air New Zealand
And now I wanna show you our pictures from Queenstown and give you some travel tips for this wonderful city:
Restaurants
Our favorite restaurant in Queensland (which we even visited three times) isΒ Bespoke Kitchen. My girlfriend and I liked this place so much because you can only get healthy and fresh food there. You can choose among yummy things such as selfmade juices (the Green Juice is the best), smoothie bowls, healthy burgers, fresh salads, healthy cakes and muffins etc.
What To Do
A real must in Queenstown is taking up the Skyline Gondola in order to enjoy a really breath-taking view over Queenstown. I went up there three times during different times of the day which were all really nice! Arriving on top you can either have some yummy lunch or dinner, do some paragliding, drive with a luge, do mountainbiking or go bungee jumping π
“In most countries getting this high is illegal!” I’m glad I read this after I did the jump π I’ve done skydiving before at the North Shore in Hawaii but I wanted to one of the highest skydives in the world at NZone Skydive Queenstown. Especially since the landscape in Queenstown is simply stunning so skydiving there is really something special π
For those who like it a bit more relaxed and still wanna enjoy a nice view I can recommend you doing some Paragliding at NZ G Force. The view from above over Queenstown is really phantastic π
Another great way to enjoy a stunning view is booking aΒ Heli Flight viaΒ Heli Tours Queenstown. A heli flight has the advantage that the pilot can even land on top of mountains etc. Hence, we were able to enjoy this stunning panorama π Thanks go our great pilot Luke and Heli Tours Queenstown for this amazing experience!
Worth a visit are also nearby cities such asΒ Arrowtown and definitely Wanaka. Already the drive there is amazing as you believe you’re somewhere on the moon π You also get to see some funny things one the way such as this bra landscape…hahaha!
Another day trip that I can definitely recommend is doing aΒ Scenic Flight to Milford Sound. It is also possible driving there by car but that takes a really long time. Besides that you can really enjoy an incredible view from the airplane! We for instance went for the offer “Fly Cruise Fly” from Jucy Cruise which includes two scenic flights and one boat trip. I was even able to sit next to the captain during both flights π It was already because of that an amazing experience! Although the cruise was also wonderful as we could see waterfalls, cute animals like dolphins or sea lions etc. from very close π
As you can see Queenstown really is an an amazing city with many possibitilies to stay active. Hence, I can recommend it especially to all adventure lovers. I’m also going to publish a New Zealand blogpost soon with my highlights of my trip to New Zealand. But first I’m heading to LA to see some friends of mine π
Have a nice weekend!
Xoxo
