Las Vegas Travel Diary – The Venetian, SlotZilla, Victoria’s Secret & High Roller

Las Vegas is like a big playground for adults.Β You cannot describe it better than that πŸ˜€ Our time here is unfortunately already coming to an end. But we had tons of fun in “Sin City”. Although I must say that two days are definitely not enough! We would have loved to do sooooo many more things here in Vegas. But you should always leave a city with many things to do so you have an incentive to come back πŸ™‚ And that is definitely the case in Las Vegas!

I would have most loved to seeΒ Grand Canyon. But to go there we would have had to wake up really early this morning, spend there the whole day just driving there and not seeing much of Las Vegas. Hence, we chose Las Vegas this time. But Grand Canyon is definitely still on top of our list πŸ™‚

We arrived last evening here in Las Vegas. We are staying at the beautiful hotelΒ The Venetian. It is incredible! Everything about the hotel is nothing but amazing πŸ™‚ A detailed hotel review will follow in the next days πŸ™‚

This is how we were welcomed at our hotel πŸ™‚

After arrival we immedialy went to theΒ High Roller. It is the highest observation deck in the world and just around the corner of our hotel. We had tickets for 5pm in order to watch the sunrise from above πŸ™‚

And we didn’t get disappointed. The view over Las Vegas with the tons of lights and the mountains in the background was simply breath-taking πŸ™‚

Our start in Las Vegas could not have been better πŸ™‚

After that we tested theΒ db Brasserie restaurant in our hotel. We were spoiled by the chef so much. All the food was simply amazing! Definitely worth an A+ πŸ˜€

Afterwards we immedialy fell asleep in the heavenly kingsize bed at The Venetian πŸ˜€

My boyfriend woke up this morning at 5am because he had a bit of a jetlag. Initially I was a bit mad at him. But then I though it was a great idea in order to get some work done.

How stunning is the view from our suite atΒ The Venetian?! In the background you can even see the airplanes approaching and leaving Las Vegas πŸ˜€

At 11am I had an appointment in our hotel spa named Canyon Ranch Spa Club. I might have had the best massage ever there and the whirlpool and the whole spa area is super nice πŸ™‚ But the gym is the best! I would have loved to get into my gym clothes right away and workout a bit. But of course we also wanted to see something of Las Vegas so no time for that πŸ˜›

For breakfast (or rather lunch) we tried out the restaurant in the spa and it was incredible again! All items on the menue were healthy… a lot with kale,Β  gluten-free options, greek yogurt, fruit etc. (as you can see). I could have literally eaten everything on the menue πŸ˜€

I went for Greek yogurt with fruit and selfmade granola. My boyfriend chose the chicken burger with kale salad. Both was sooooo good! We definitely wanna have breakfast there again tomorrow morning because we’ll fly early to Hawaii tomorrow. I’m so incredibly excited for Hawaii so an early flight isn’t so bad πŸ˜›

After lunch we explored the hotel for a bit and went on a gondola ride. I have been to Venice before but didn’t manage to do it there. Hence, it was super great to do it in the hotel. The gondola driver had an amazing voice and it was of course very romantic πŸ˜‰

After that we went shopping in the hotel. And who would have thought it? πŸ˜€ I found something nice at Victoria’s Secret (it was even on sale): this beautiful cosmetic and makeup bag. How do you like them?

Of course no trip to Vegas without visiting the casino. We even have one in the hotel. And no… unfortunately I didn’t win the BMW πŸ˜›

Afterwards we had dinner in my beloved Cheesecake Factory. And it was sooooo good again! Of course we also had to go for the obligatory cheesecake πŸ˜€

After dinner we explored Fremont Shops. You definitely need to go there. The mall is amazing! And there are many unique stores there such as this fan shop who carries original things from Marilyn Monroe, The Beatles etc. Very Las Vegas like πŸ™‚

But the highlight and also the end to our trip was a flight as superman and superwoman πŸ˜€

In Las Vegas there is aΒ Slotzilla where you can fly around as Superman or Superwoman πŸ˜€ You definitely need to watch our video when it’s finished! Unfortunautely pictures cannot show how cool it really was πŸ˜€

And now I’m falling asleep into our comfy bed and tomorrow morning we’re heading to Honolulu. Yipppiehhh πŸ˜€ Here you can see our itineary and all flights in the upcoming 6 weeks πŸ™‚ My next blog post will be from paradise πŸ˜‰
