21 Oct Our stay at Huvafen Fushi Maldives
it’s been a while since I’ve been active on my blog. Today I wanna take the chance to introduce one of my favorite resorts in the Maldives to you guys: Huvafen Fushi Maldives.
I’ve been to this resort already twice and each time I’ve been blown away by its beauty! One of the huge advantages of Huvafen Fushi (especially when travel with kids) is its location: Huvafen Fushi is located in the North Malé Atoll. Thus, you can easily reach the island from Malé via speedboat and you won’t need to take an expensive or time-consuming seaplane ride first. Especially when traveling with small children (and when arriving after an International flight) this is super convenient! The speedboat ride from Malé to Huvafen Fushi only takes around 30 minutes until you will arrive in true paradise 🙂
Once reaching Huvafen Fushi you will experience the clearest and most turquoise water ever! I’ve honestly hardly ever seen such stunning water like on this island! Huvafen Fushi is rather a smaller, familiar resort. I actually prefer smaller resorts in the Maldives. This doesn’t mean though that you will get bored on the island. There are many special places at Huvafen Fushi and many things to do (I will talk about this in more detail later). The service and the staff on the island are excellent! This is something which is always super important to me.
You can either stay in a beach or in a water villa at Huvafen Fushi. Both are very beautiful! Our first accommodation was a Lagoon Bungalow with Pool. We stayed there for three nights and it was very nice (especially the private pool and direct sea access).
Our second accomodation was my absolute dream villa on Huvafen Fushi: The Two Bedroom Ocean Pavillion with Pool. This water villa is super spaceous, it has two bedrooms, a living room, a fully equipped kitchen and its own infinity pool. There are only two of these villas on the island and both villas are a bit secluded from the main island. Hence, you can enjoy absolute privacy and still have access to everything that the main island has to offer.
The food on Huvafen Fushi was excellent! Everything is super fresh and there are many healthy food options available. HERE you can find an overview of the different restaurants on the island. My personal highlight when it comes to food was having an excellent pizza for lunch in our villa and the amazing breakfast buffet. If you are a foodie like myself Huvafen Fushi is definitely the place to stay!
You definitely won’t get bored on the island! There are various excursion options available such as a Private Sunset Cruise. We did that and it was beautiful! If you are lucky you even get to see some dolphins 🙂
My favorite spot on Huvafen Fushi is the Underwater Spa. Maurice and I had one of the best massages we’ve vever had there. Plus the atmosphere is really magical!
I recommend you to not only book a massage but also the private breakfast underwater experience at Huvafen Fushi. It doesn’t get more beautiful than that!
Also the Sunsets on Huvafen Fushi are really breath-taking! And the amazing thing is: The island is small enough that you can reach everything via foot. E.g. we loved walking down the jetty after dinner and watching the stars while doing so 🙂
I think you can tell: I cannot stop saying amazing things about this beautiful island. We really enjoyed our stay at Huvafen Fushi and I can recommend this island 100%! We hope to be able to return as guests to this beautiful place real soon 🙂
