Are you looking for the ultimate luxury in the Maldives? Then you’ve just found the perfect place! We visited the most likely most luxurious hotel in the Maldives: The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort. The hotel has just been founded a few months ago. Thus, everything is still brand new which you can definitely tell! Nevertheless, you don’t perceive like the resort has no experience with guests. It belongs to the luxurious hotel chain St. Regis which has one of the best hotels in the world under its head and also disposes of a long-standing experience with very demanding guests 🙂
You believe though that St. Regis outdoes itself with its new hotels 😀 We’ve already recognized this at St. Regis Resort Langkawi and now again at The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort. The Design of the resort is super luxurious and stylish! In contrast to other hotels in the Maldives the resort deliberately desists from using thatched roofs, much wood when it comes to the interior, infinity pools etc. and instead offers a much different design. And the concept works! The hotel was almost fully booked during our stay and even the expensive president villa was taken. So guests in the Maldives were probably looking for something different which they’ve found at The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort 🙂
You can reach the resort via water airplane which takes approximately one hour from Malé Airport. Already the approach into the The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort is a dream! Btw this picture was taken during our flight home 😉
Our villa was a Sunset Villa on the Water which belongs to the higher categories of the water villas. Thus, every evening we could watch a beautiful sunset from our villa 🙂
Our water villa was huge! I even had my own dressing room and the marble bathroom including bathtub and gigantic shower was probably my favorite place 😀 The villas have been decorated so that men as well as women love it. My boyfriend and I definitely fell in love with our water villa 🙂
For those who prefer staying at the beach instead of on the water there are also some great alternatives: The beach villas of the resort are also very nice!
The Beach itself at The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort is really nice! Our favorite beach was the one in front of the spa which we always had completely by ourselves. The colors there are also simply stunning 🙂
When it comes to Food The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort also has much to offer! There are various Restaurants on the island (including Arabian, Asian, Western food etc.). Thus, there is a huge variety of food offered. To be honest every evening we felt like eating in a Michelin Star restaurant because the food was THAT excellent and fancy 😀 Our favorite restaurant was “Alba“. Although you should also definitely try out the brickoven pizza at “The Crust” because it is just amazing! For all wine fans there is also a great Wine Cellar which stores some real treasures 😉
Also the Breakfast Buffet and a la Carte Menu made me happy because it not only tastes awesome it was also nicely decorated 🙂
In addition to the pools of the water villas there is a beautiful Main Pool. I thought it was great that there was a small stand with newspapers, magazines, sun- and after sun lotions etc. Furthermore, I fell in love with the coconuts at The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort 😀
The highlight of the hotel is definitely the unique Iridium Spa. Not only that amazing treatments are offered here there entire design of the spa is also incredible! Even though the special feature of the spa is its “Blue Hole”. This is some kind of Infinity Whirl Pool which is not only beautiful but also gigantic! Its design reminds you of a yacht and this is also how you feel: Like being on the most luxurious yacht 😀 I’ve never seen something like that nor swam in it 😛
For a beautiful sunset I can recommend you visiting the Whale Bar. We saw a really really stunning sunset here 🙂
Especially for couples but also for familes and friends I can fully recommend The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort! It is not only a super luxurious but also very romantic resort! The entire lightning of the hotel is amazing! We were there with friends and had an awesome time! Furthermore, the resort is especially suited for guests who are looking for the ultimate luxury on vacation but still don’t wanna have a dresscode in the Maldives because despite the whole luxury there was luckily no dresscode 😉
My Secret Tips for The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort:
1) Order a fresh coconut
2) Swim in the “Blue Hole” of the Iridium Spa
3) Order a pizza at “The Crust”
