Excursion Tip in Cebu – Swimming with Whale Sharks & Kawasan Falls

Hi lovelies,

finally I visited amazing Philippines again. One year ago I was already there (read my Blogpost here) and now I decided to come back because I wanted to show my boyfriend this amazing place. Back then I stayed in Coron, Palawan. This year we decided to visit El Nido, Palawan and Cebu. The reason for Cebu was because we wanted to swim with Whale Sharks and see the most beautiful waterfalls in the world: The Kawasan Falls.

I can definitely recommend both! However, try to pay attention to staying a bit closer to Oslob or Kawasan Falls. We stayed in a hotel in the North of Cebu and thus had to wakeup at 1 am (!!!) and first drive 6 hours (!!!) to Oslob. The drive back was with 7 hours even more exhausting and we were really dead when we got home πŸ˜› However, the huge effort was definitely worth it! This day was our absolute highlight of the trip and we are super excited to show you our videos from there soon πŸ™‚

The day of our excursion started at 1:30am. Our driver from the hotel drove us in three hours to Cebu City where we met our driver from the tour. We booked our tour withΒ Cebu Tours. I can recommend this company by 100%. All employees were extremely friendly and reliable! Just sad that we couldn’t stay longer in Cebu otherwise we would have booked even more tours with Cebu Tours πŸ™‚

After driving for another three hours we arrived at our first stop: Oslob. We first received a yummy breakfast in front ot a dream location which consisted of sticky Rice and fresh mangos which was super yummy! You really get the best mangos in Philippines, thus, you shouldn’t miss out on trying them πŸ˜€

After a great breakfast we had to fill out a form and afterwards we went to the boat which took us to the whale sharks which you can basically already see from the shore. I’ve done a tour before in the Maldives where we swam with whale sharks but there weren’t as many as in Cebu. Whale sharks are such stunning animals! Even though everything was a bit touristy it was a great experience πŸ™‚

After the whale sharks we drove to our second stop:Β Kawasan Falls. I believe I’ve never seen something this beautiful (and that means something)!! I can recommend you going there during the week (Monday through Thursday) and not on holidays. Then you will have Kawasan Falls almost by yourself πŸ™‚ You will definitely not believe your eyes that there is something this beautiful out there πŸ˜€

After Kawasan Falls it took us 7 hours to drive home and we really totally exhausted when we got there. Even though the long drive was the most annoying thing that day we will never forget the experiences we made there πŸ™‚

Have you ever been to Cebu? And if so: Which excursions did you do there?

Xoxo

Oh, I don’t believe that Cebu has such nice places like these. Now Boracay is closed, I will choose Cebu as alternative destination. I realize that this place has more things to do than any others in the Philippines. Do you think I can combine whale island and Kawasan in one day? Thanks in advance!
