29 Dec My Impressions from Abu Dhabi + Travel Tips
Hi lovelies,
shortly before Christmas I visited Abu Dhabi together with my boyfriend and Visit Abu Dhabi. We had an incredible time there! Today I wanna show you some impressions and give you some travel tips for Abu Dhabi:
We stayed four nights in the luxurious Emirates Palace by Kempinski. We chose this hotel because I wanted to stay in a traditional hotel that has an oriental design. Our expectations didn’t get disappointed! Emirates Palace was simply a dream and we would return there anytime again 🙂 The food at the hotel was also excellent and there were many healthy food options available which as a healthy foodie made me very happy 😀
Directly after we arrived we were able to test the famous Spa at Emirates Palace. This is also possible for non hotel guests and I can really recommend it to everyone! We were able to enjoy a lovely couple’s massage there which was simply amazing!
There are two absolute must dos in Abu Dhabi: One is doing a desert safari. We chose the one at Arabian Nights Village which was simply incredible! You can even stay there overnight. Waking up along with a stunning sunrise in the desert must be an unforgettable experience 🙂
The second must do is visiting the famous Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. I can recommend you going there shortly before sunset so you get to experience the mosque by day and by night time. You can also rent the traditional Arabian clothes there for free 🙂 Just a small tip: My boyfriend wanted to rent it too but he wore appropriate enough clothes so they didn’t give it to him 😛 Hence, if you’re a guy and wanna wear the traditional clothes for photos etc. best is to arrive in shorts or such 😀
If you wanna enjoy the best view over Abu Dhabi you should visit the Observation Deck 300 on top of the Jumeirah Hotel at Etihad Towers. There is a magnificent 360° view of Abu Dhabi which is simply breath-taking! You can also have something small to drink or eat there.
I would have never thought that Abu Dhabi also has such beautiful beaches. We really loved Saadiyat Beach and the Saadiyat Beach Club where we spent our entire last day. You cannot only find amazing food there but also a lovely infinity pool along with nice cabanas. We also watched a stunning sunset at Saadiyat Beach Club. So if you are looking for something else besides the city or desert this is the right place for you 🙂
We flew to Abu Dhabi from Frankfurt with Etihad Airways. Our flight was wonderful! We were even so lucky to get an upgrade into First Class. So our Abu Dhabi trip could not have started any better 😀 A separate Airline Review about this flight will follow soon 🙂
Have you ever been to Abu Dhabi? And if so what were your highlights there?
Xoxo
