I don’t think I’ve ever experienced in my life suuuuuch a great service like the one at The Oberoi Amarvilas in Agra, India. While searching for a nice hotel close to Taj Mahal the hotel The Oberoi Amarvilas immediately catched our attention. The location of the hotel is not only perfect, its rooms also offer direct view over Taj Mahal. Honestly I fell in love so much with the pictures of the hotel beforehand that there was no other option besides staying at this beautiful property during our stay in Agra 😀

We would have never thought though that the hotel is in reality even more beautiful than in its pictures 😀

Already the Welcome at The Oberoi Amarvilas is really special and you feel like being part of the Oberoi family since the beginning. In your room this cute white chocolate Taj Mahal is already waiting for you. How sweet that they even printed out my logo on edible paper 😀

I especially loved the entire Design of the hotel (from the inside as well as from the outside). You really feel like in Thousand And One Night or in the middle of the orient 🙂

All employees wore beautiful costumes and the Service was like mentioned earlier simply excellent! I for instance poured by accident red wine over the white pants of my boyfriend (typically Maddi) 😛 Immediately we were offered to get them cleaned. So we went into the room, his pants immediately got picked up and the next morning we received his white pants cleaned, ironed and with zero stains 😀 So litterally every wish as a hotel guest was fulfilled and we felt so comfortable at The Oberoi Amarvilas 🙂

Our room was a Premier Room with Balcony. Hence, already in the morning we woke up with a view over Taj Mahal. Our bed was also incredibly comfortable so we almost didn’t wanna leave it 😛 But the entire hotel was too beautiful to just spend time in the room. So of course we explored 🙂

Also other room categories were very nice! We for instance were able to spend some time in the Presidential Villa where many famous people have stayed before 🙂

The Food at The Oberoi Amarvilas was also excellent! The breakfast buffet wasn’t huge but offered all you desired. Furthermore, there was also a great a la carte menu. I’m not a big fan of huge breakfast buffets so the breakfast at The Oberoi Amarvilas was perfect for me!

In addition, you also have the choice to enjoy your food in your room or on your own terrace. We took advantage of it one morning which was also very nice to enjoy your breakfast along with some more privacy 🙂

Also for lunch or dinner both Restaurants and the Room Service offered a great selection of local and International dishes. Although I enjoyed most having a romantic Candle Light Dinner on our terrace 😉

Next to great food having a good Gym is also always very important to me when I travel. The one at The Oberoi Amarvilas is definitely very nice with a great selection of cardio and weight training equipment! What was also great that the gym will be opened for hotel guests if you wanted to workout a bit earlier or later. We definitely took advantage of that and even did our workouts on vacation 😀

I was also very impressed by the beautiful Hotel Pool. I loved the design here as well including the beautiful columns. The pool actually felt like being the heart of the hotel as the entire hotel life happened here during the day 🙂

Although the entire hotel property also looked stunning and magical at night 🙂 Every evening right after sunset there was a great dance performance at the hotel. If you book a room with a balcony you can actually watch it right from your own balcony 😉

Overall the hotel was super romantic so in my opinion it is especially suited for couples 😉

As you can see I cannot stop enthusing about this beautiful hotel. Hence, I can recommend The Oberoi Amarvilas 100% and hope to be able to return real soon 🙂

My Secret Tips for The Oberoi Amarvilas:

• Don’t miss the dance performance every evening right after sunset
• Try out the room service (especially the candle light dinner)
• Book a rose bath
