Airline Review – With Qatar Airways in Business Class to Cape Town

Sunny Greetings from Cape Town 🙂 It is so great being here! I’ve visited Cape Town five years ago but it was long before I had my blog or even my Instagram account. My flight to Cape Town was via Munich to Doha with one of my favorite airlines: Qatar Airways. Today I wanna introduce my flight to you guys 🙂

I’ve actually already flown with Qatar Airways two times in Economy Class to Maldives and always loved it! So I was even more excited when I got upgraded to fly in Business Class on my flight to Cape Town. My first leg Munich – Doha was in the brand new Airbus A350 and my second leg Leg Doha – Cape Town in the traditional Boeing 777. Both flights were great, but I especially loved the flying with the Airbus A350!

The Design of the Airbus A350 at Qatar Airways is very stylish and the Business Class is super luxurious 🙂 Because the window seats are secluded I can recommend the Airbus A350 especially for solo travellers because you have a high amount of privacy there. However, for couples this airplane is also suitable because you can just reserve two of the middle seats and thus sit together 🙂

The Boeing 777 of Qatar Airways is in my opinion mostly suitable for couples because all seats are arranged in pairs. Also the design of this a bit older airplane is very nice 🙂

Because the food on board is always very important to me I filmed an Onboard Food Diary for you guys again:

Munich – Doha: Meal 1 – Dinner

For dinner shortly after take-off we’ve been served three meals which is always one of the advantages of traveling in Business Class. As a starter I chose the “Arabian Mezza Platter”. Being an absolute hummus lover I really adored this meal 🙂

As a Main Course I received salmon with potatoes because I ordered the “Gluten-free Special Meal” beforehand. No matter in what class you travel at Qatar Airways you can order up to 48h before departure via your booking code and name a free Special Meal. This is especially recommendable for vegetarians or vegans onboard! How great that this service is completely complimentary for all guests 🙂

For Dessert I chose the cheese platter. The entire food on this flight was excellent! Thus, I was able to sleep really well afterwards 🙂

Doha – Cape Town: Meal 1 – Midnight Snack

Because the second leg was after midnight I decided to skip the midnight snack and rather sleep throughout the entire flight instead. And I was able to sleep so well on board Qatar Airways 🙂

Hence, I was even more excited about the really excellent breakfast shortly before arrival in Cape Town. I’ve honestly never had such a good breakfast over the clouds 😀 I was even served a yummy cappucino along with a greek yogurt, a fruit platter, an energizer juice and some other delicous things. Each guest traveling in Business Class was able to freely design their own breakfast having a great selection of light and healthy dishes. Hence, being a big breakfast lover this made me so happy 🙂

Traveling in Business Class of Qatar Airways there is also a huge selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Because I don’t drink alcohol I was mostly excited about the various juices and teas. But of course also all champagne drinkers were very happy onboard 😉

I especially loved the Interior and the Design of the Business Class at Qatar Airways. You simply feel happy here no matter if you are traveling as a couple or solo 🙂

In addition to the great and comfortable interior I also recognized many Extras on board of Qatar Airways such as:

  • A Giorgio Armani amenity kit consisting of socks, ear plugs, a lip balm, luxurious Giorgio Armani cosmetic products etc.
  • A cozy pyjama
  • Tooth brush and tooth paste at the restrooms
  • Watterbottle on your seat
  • Huge selection of complimentary newspapers and magazines
  • USB plug at your seat
  • An extra large screen
  • A cozy blanket and pillow
  • High-end earphones
  • An easy to use seat control

… and much much more 🙂

I was mostly impressed by the cozy pyjama which almost every guest traveling in Business Class actually wore 😀 This was not only funny to watch but also made this flight to one of the most comfortable flights I’ve ever had. I slept so well that I arrived super relaxed and full of energy in Cape Town 🙂

The Entertainment Program at Qatar Airways is also excellent! There are many series and movies (in different languages and with or without subtitle) to choose of. You can then enjoy these on an extra large screen 🙂

During the entire flight I recognized the excellent Service of the Qatar Airways employees. The ground staff as well as the flying staff was very friendly and skilled! As an example: I took some pictures before take-off and a flight attendant immediately asked me if I also wanted to have some pictures of myself. After taking some nice ones other guests also wanted to have some pictures of themselves so she took them with a lot of patience. Hence, every guest was already happy before take-off 🙂

Due to my experiences onboard my Rating for the Business Class Flight of Qatar Airways is the following:

5 is the highest rating, 1 the lowest

Service                 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Airplane               ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Food                     ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Entertainment    ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Extras                   ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Overall-Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ = 5 Stars

Even though I was already impressed by the Economy Class of Qatar Airways traveling in Business Class of Qatar Airways is simply luxury and I can recommend it 100%. Qatar Airways has again proven as deservedly being one of my absolute favorites airlines and I would fly with them anytime again, especially in Business Class 🙂

Have you ever flown with Qatar Airways? And if so: How did you like it?
