27 Sep Airline Review – With Turkish Airlines in Business Class to Mauritius
Airline Reviews are one of your most popular blog posts. Therefore, today I wanna introduce my flight with Turkish Airlines to Mauritius to you guys.
A few weeks ago I already flew with Turkish Airlines in the Economy Class via Istanbul to Cappadocia. Both flights were great so I was super excited to test the Business Class of Turkish Airlines for you guys. Especially on long-haul flights flying in Business Class is really amazing and you are just excited for your flight 🙂
We flew first from Munich to Instanbul and then from Istanbul to Mauritius. Honestly, I was very surprised that even on our first leg MUC – IST, which only lasted around three hours, the Business Class was very luxurious. When you compare it with competitors on short- or medium-haul flights the only real bonus of flying in Business Class is that there is a free seat between you and your neighbour. At Turkish Airlines we had the same great Business Class product like on our long-haul flight 🙂
Already before takeoff we met the Flying Chef who served us a selection of drinks. I’ve never had a chef on board. Hence, I’ve never had such an amazing food on board like in the Business Class of Turkish Airlines. The chef helped us with great expertise with the menu selection.
Because the food on board always really matters to me I filmed a little Onboard Food Diary for you guys:
Munich – Istanbul: Meal 1 – Dinner
For dinner shortly after takeoff three courses were served which is always an advantage of flying in Business Class. I was most impressed by the starter platter consisting of smoked salmon and many other specialities 🙂
After this we received a yummy main course and a great dessert. Both tastes absolutely amazing!
Istanbul – Mauritius: Meal 1 – Dinner
On our second flight we were again served a light and delcious dinner. I decided to take the chicken salad and pumpkin soup. Both were great choices 🙂
Istanbul – Mauritius: Meal 1 – Breakfast
Shortly before arrival in Mauritius a light breakfast was served to us. The breakfast consisted of a yummy bircher muesli, fresh rolls and croissants, a fruit platter and omelette if desired. Also the breakfast was truly amazing!
On our return flight we had a five hour stay in Istanbul which we spent in the amazing CIP Lounge. I’ve never seen such a great lounge in my entire life so a separate review for it will follow 🙂
I especially liked the great Interior and Design of the Business Class of Turkish Airlines. Here you feel super comfortable whether you’re a couple or a solo traveller 🙂
In addition to the great and comfortable interior and design there were many Extras on board of our flight with Turkish Airlines such as:
- An Amenity Kit consisting of socks, tooth brush and tooth paste, earplugs, luxury cosmetic products etc.
- Cosmetic set at the restrooms
- Water bottle
- USB plug at your seat
- Free newspapers
- Easy to use controller
- An extra large screen
- A cozy pillow and blanket
- Before going to sleep a new bedding
- High quality headset
… and much much more 🙂 I was most impressed that before going to sleep a new cover was placed on your seat. I’ve never had such a cozy blanket and pillow on a flight. Hence, I’ve never slept so well like on board of Turkish Airlines 🙂
The Entertainment Program at Turkish Airlines in Business Class is also amazing! There are many series and movies (in different languages) available. You can then watch these on an extra large screen. I decided to go for the movies “Joy” which I can definitely recommend. Furthermore, you can sleep so great in Business Class which I definitely took advantage of 😀
During our entire flight I recognized the great Service of the Turkish Airlines staff. Everyone was super skilled and friendly. I liked most the chef on board which helped us to make our meal decisions 🙂
Because of my experience on board my rating for the Business Class of Turkish Airlines is the following:
5 is the highest rating, 1 the lowest
Overall-Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ = 5 Stars
Even though I already thought the flight in Economy Class with Turkish Airlines was great my flight in Business Class at Turkish Airlines topped everything what I’ve ever experienced and I can recommend it by 100%. Honestly, I’ve never had such a great flight! Even though I’m a very cost conscious person I think that the investment is totally worth it. This way your vacation already starts in the airplane and you are just looking forward to your flight 🙂
Our approach to Mauritius was also a dream 🙂
Have you ever flown with Turkish Airlines? And if so: How did you like it?
