20 Jun My Travel Tips for Barcelona
Hi lovelies,
I’ve just returned from my favorite city in Europe: Beautiful Barcelona. Today I wanna give you some Travel Tips for Barcelona. I also have some Healthy Restaurant Tips for you guys which will follow in another blog post because I discovered some amazing food places in Barcelona. I will already be back to Barcelona in two weeks when I will add some more items to both lists 😉
As usual find my Outfit Details below 😉
My Travel Tips for Barcelona:
1) Enjoy the view from Bunkers – El Carmel
A secret tip of mine is to visit the observatory Bunkers – El Carmel. We didn’t see any tourists here but only locals. Hence, this place is also great for meeting other people in Barceona. Furthermore, the panorama from there is just breathtakingly beautiful 😀
2) Go for a run at Park Güell
One of the most beautiful parks in Barcelona is Park Güell. It is especially great for running or doing some sports. But also for not so athletic people Park Güell is definitely worth a visit. Already the design of the park is definitely a must see 🙂
3) Wander around La Boqueria
Ich love visiting markets at different places I travel to. La Boqueria is really something special. There is a huge selection of various groceries such as fish or nuts. But I was especially impressed by the huge selection of sweets, fresh juices and various kinds of fruit 😀 La Boqueria is situated in the neighbourhood Las Ramblas which is also worth a visit 🙂
4) Watch the sunset at Barceloneta Beach
The most beautiful beaches in Barcelona are actually a bit outside of the city. Nevertheless, Barceloneta Beach is especially beautiful during sunset. Even though the sun goes down on the other side, during twilight the W Hotel and the beach shine in beautiful pastel colors. I flew with my drone here during right before sunset and captures some stunning shots 😀 Read my drone review here 🙂
5) Watch the Magic Fountain at Montjuïc
Honestly I would have never expected that the show would be THIS beautiful! We were there Saturday evening and though beforehand it would be really crowded. This wasn’t the case since that the show comes up several times an evening (see the exact times below):
Hence, we were even able to stand in the front row (even though we got a bit wet…haha)! In the background you can hear some nice music playing which makes the entire atmosphere just wonderful!
6) Go diving with Shark in the Aquarium
When the weather isn’t so great it is worth visiting the Aquarium from Barcelona which is located directly at the harbour. You get so see many nice fish and sharks there. For those who are really brave you can even go diving with the sharks 😀
7) Genießt die Aussicht vom El Corte Inglés am Plaça Catalunya
There is almost no nicer view than the one from El Corte Inglés at Plaça Catalunya. Especially during sunset you can enjoy a stunning view along with some food or drinks 🙂
8) Do a Vine Tasting Tour a bit outside of Barcelona
Not only Barcelona itself but also the surrounding of Barcelona is really stunning! Even though I don’t drink alcohol I really enjoyed the vine tasting tour because of its beautiful landscapes. You visit three different wineries that are all really nice. Besides that I also enjoyed tasting some different cheeses… even without vine 😀
Further Attractions in Barcelona:
In two weeks I will be again in Barcelona. Then I plan on visiting the following attractions:
- Tibidabo
- Montserrat
- La Sagrada Familia
- Casa MilÃ
- Picasso Museum
Flight to Barcelona and Accomodation:
From Europe (in many different cities) you can fly very cheap to Barcelona with the Spanish Airlines Vueling. I went for the medium tariff where a seat reservation and one checkin luggage is included. The flight was fine and I would fly with them anytime again. Even though they are supposed to be a low cost carrier Vueling is not comparable at all to airlines such as Ryanair or Easyjet. Vueling for instance flies to and from regular huge airports and you don’t need to drive all your way out to Munich Memmingen or Frankfurt Hahn which are both totally outside of the city 😀
We stayed three nights at Hotel Vueling BCN by HC which is located directly in the city. You for instance reach Plaça Catalunya within 5 to 10 minutes walking distance. The hotel also has a great and healthy breakfast buffet and a 24h gym. Both is really important to me when I travel. Hence, in Barcelona I could totally stick to my fitness and healthy food schedule 😀 Furthermore, the hotel has a great design which reminds you of the interior of an airplane 😉
A huge thanks also to my lovely follower Eira who showed me the best spots in Barcelona. She also took the lovely photos of me. Eira you are amazing! You can find her on Instagram @wanderyogi. She has a really beautiful account so definitely follow her 😉
Have you ever been to Barcelona? And if so how did you like it and what were your favorite spots in Barcelona?
Xoxo
