Sicily Travel Diary

Sicily Travel Diary

I would have never thought that Sicily is really THAT beautiful! I’m extremely impressed how much I’ve experienced here the past (2!!) days. Today I wanna tell you what we all did πŸ™‚

For the first time I’m travelling by myself and I’ve never met that many cool people at one place. Hence, it is really worth traveling solo sometimes because you will never meet much more people than traveling with somebody else. Although the Italians are just really open minded πŸ˜‰ Thanks to Reimundo and Co. who were amazing guides and showed me the best parts of Sicily πŸ™‚

Btw you can also find me onΒ Snapchat now. My username is “pilotmadeleine1” (pilotmadeleine has unfortunately already been taken πŸ™ ). I post a lot of live videos and photos on Snapchat. Hence, it is definitely worth following me on there πŸ˜‰

I’m staying here in Sicily in the city Giardini Naxos at Hilton Giardini Naxos which is not only great due to its location but also the entire hotel itseld is great. Already the pool and the breakfast view is incredible! And the staff is amazing! A detailed hotel review will follow the next days πŸ™‚

On our first day we took advantage of the great weather and did a boat tour through Sicily. We started in Giardini Bay and had a look at many cool cities from the water. OMG… Sicily is sooo stunning πŸ˜€

There were a lot of lagoons on the way with terrific turqouise water.

From the water you can also see some beautiful hotels. The tour was booked at the hotel viaΒ Sicily-Adventure.it.I can definitely recommend these guys 100%! If you’re ever in Sicily their tours are a must do πŸ™‚

In the evening I had an Italian cooking class with the chef of the hotel.

We cooked a Sicilian three course meal. I actually didn’t do too bad πŸ˜› Everything tasted amazing! So I might try remaking these recipes at home πŸ˜€

Day two was the highlight of my trip because we stayed active the entire day. Exactly how I like it best πŸ˜€ We first hiked uponΒ Etna… or rather climbed because it was quite steep on some parts πŸ˜› But the view from the top and on the way was definitely worth it πŸ™‚

Afterwards we went Cave Hiking which was a bit scary but also very very cool πŸ˜€

After exploring the cave we had a look at a cuteΒ Sicilian town. I really love meeting locals while I travel so we had a chance there πŸ™‚

At the end of our day tour we went to a beautiful lake where you can also do Body Rafting. Unfortunately there was not enough time to do it today but it is definitely on my list for my next Sicily trip πŸ˜€

After our tour I got treated by the hotel with an Etna Hot Stone Massage in the hotel’s own Spa. You cannot imagine how great the stones felt πŸ˜€ Afterwards I swam a bit in the pool and I’m now writing this blog post πŸ™‚

As you can see we had an incredible time in Sicily πŸ™‚ Unfortunately I will already fly back to Munich tomorrow. On Monday I have to fly to Dusseldorf for a Maybelline commercial and on Tuesday I will fly with my BFF to:
