20 Apr Moving to Hawaii & my 10 favorite Beaches on Oahu, Hawaii
I really loves beaches. At the beach I’m feeling free and already the sound of the sea is soothing my soul. Besides that Hawaii is my absolute favorite place in the world. For this reason I plan on moving to Hawaii for three months this fall π I’m super excited for is because I’ve ben wanting to do it for a looooooong time π “Don’t dream life, live your dreams!” π
Because all of my friends live inΒ Waikiki I’m going to look for a nice apartment there. I also plan on visiting other islands such as Kauai or Big Island π Geez… I really cannot wait!
Today I wanna introduce my 10 favorite beaches on Oahu to you guys:
10) Waikiki Beach
At first sight Waikiki Beach is not really a dream beach. Most of the times Waikiki is quite crowded, sometimes it’s even a bit loud there. However, the beach has really nice colors and I’ve seen the most stunning sunsets ever at Waikiki Beach. Furthermore, it is great for surfing (especially for beginners) which is super amazing around sunset π
9) Waimea Bay
I really love the North Shore! A beautiful bay at the North Shore (with huge waves) isΒ Waimea Bay. The people there are really cool and the water is simply a dream π Besides that you can also do cliff diving at Waimea Bay π
8) Kualoa Regional Park
A beach that I’ve discovered just recently isΒ Kualoa Regional Park. I especially love the mountains on Hawaii and the stunning beaches. At Kualoa Beach Park you get both π See even more pictures of it here.
You can find my Jumpsuit here π
7) Pipeline
For those who love the surfer vibe on Hawaii as much as me visitingΒ Pipeline at North Shore is a must! You can watch the best surfers in the world here while doing their stunts π
6) Sandy Beach
Another beautiful beach on Oahu is Sandy Beach. Many locals hang out here so it is also great for meeting other people in Hawaii.
4) Makapu’u Beach
Another dream beach at the east coast of Oahu is Makapu’u Beach. When the weather is great you can find super turqouise water here. Right before reaching the beach (when you are coming from Honolulu) you can also find a great lookout (Makapu’u Lookout) from where you can take amazing pictures π
4) Ka’ena Point Beach
A relatively undiscovered but still beautiful beach is Ka’ena Point Beach. You won’t see many tourists here so it is especially great for couples because it is very romantic π I recommend going here around sunset because you will experience wonderful moments during that time π
3) Haunauma Bay
My absolute favorite bay on Oahu is Haunauma Bay. I recommend not going there on the weekend or on holidays but rather during the week where it is not so crowded. Then the beach offers great possibilities to go swimming with a beautiful landscape as well as meetings lots of turles, fish etc. while going snorkling.
2) Turtle Beach
Turtle Beach, officially called Laniakea Beach, is one of my favorite beaches. The beach itself, including the palm trees and the stones, is not only beautiful, with a high probability you can also see turtles there. Chances are best in the afternoon when the sun is the highest (around 1pm) as the turtles soak up some sun at Turtle Beach around that time. See even more pictures here.
1) Lanikai Beach
No beach in the world is as beautiful to me as Lanikai Beach in Kailua on Oahu, Hawaii. On a good day the water here is as turqouise as in the Maldives. Lanikai Beach is also great for kayaking to the two mountains in the back. This beach really shows the beauty of Hawaii. Hence, Lanikai Beach is the most beautiful beach in the world to me π
Have you ever been to Hawaii? And if so which were your favorite beaches there?
