Waikiki Beach, Kualoa Regional Park, Chinaman’s Hat & Lanikai Beach – Hawaii Travel Diary Day 1 & 2

Aloha loves,

here is my first blog post from Hawaii. I’m so overwhelmed being here you cannot even imagine! I would love to stay here so happy the islands make me πŸ˜€ There is no other place in the world where it’s that extreme. And I’m looking forward to take you along on my travels via my blog πŸ™‚ We will stay on Oahu the next days before we’ll be heading to Maui. Read about our whole travel plans including flights here.

The approach into Honolulu was already amazing!

Yesterday late afternoon we arrived in Honolulu. Honolulu International Airport is already so beautiful! I always love arriving there and seeing the sign Aloha! Welcome to Hawaii πŸ˜€

At the airport we rented a car and we were so lucky! We reserved the cheapest car online (a Ford Focus) and what did we get?! A black beautiful Mustang πŸ˜€ And this baby for a super cheap price…ha ha.

We first drove straight to our accomodation in Waikiki Beach. Have a look at the view πŸ˜€

After we unpacked and showered we walked through Waikiki. We also watched a stunning sunset there directly at the beach. Although it’s possible to top it πŸ˜‰

My boyfriend fell in love with Hawaii immediately. I’m glad… otherwise we would have gotten serious relationship problems πŸ˜›

Afterwards we met up with my friend Nathan and his girlfriend Michelle for dinner. We met at Duke’s which I can really recommend. Definitely try out some local Hawaiian food such as PokΓ© if you’re ever in Hawaii because it is amazing!

Hawaii Day 2

This morning we woke up early to meet up with Nathan, Michelle and a friend of Michelle to kayak to Chinaman’s Hat. Definitely go there!

IMG_7224IMG_6848 IMG_6944

We first drove to Kualoa Regional Park and from there we kayaked to Chinaman’s Hat. I really love the mountains in the background πŸ˜€

Even if you don’t like kayaking it is worth visitingΒ Kualoa Regional Park where Jurassic Park was also shot πŸ™‚

IMG_6804

Arriving at Chinaman’s Hat there is also an amazing hiking trail (Chinaman’s Hiking Trail) that ends at the peak of Chinaman’s Hat. The hike is a bit steep but super impressive πŸ™‚

In the afternoon we wanted to do ziplining at Kualoa Ranch. However, you need to sign up for it in advance though and it is a 3 hour long tour. Hence, we decided to do it a few days later.

IMG_7467 IMG_7340

Instead we explored Secret Beach. This beautiful beach is just in walking distance ofΒ Kualoa Regional Park.

Around sunset we went to my favorite beach: Lanikai Beach. It was on the way to Honolulu. Hence, it was a perfect stop πŸ™‚

IMG_7597

At the beach we had a great time including some drinks. However, you cannot see the sunset from Lanikai Beach. Hence, we need to come back for sunrise πŸ™‚

IMG_7626 IMG_7664 IMG_7670

Every Friday evening there are amazing fireworks in Waikiki. So it was worth leaving on time πŸ˜€ The stunning fireworks were the perfect end to a perfect day for us πŸ™‚

And now I’m falling into my big bed and I’m super excited for another wonderful day in paradise tomorrow πŸ™‚

Xoxo
