20 Jan Restaurant Guide – My Top 10 Restaurants in Munich
I always get many emails with a similar questions: “What should I do in Munich or what places should I visit?” Because there are many things to do in Munich today I’m gonna start with introducing my 10 favorite restaurants in Munich to you guys.
Do give you an idea of the price I always put the $-symbol behind the name: $ means lower price, $$$$$ means higher price.
1) Pather Grill & Bar: $$$$
On the search of finding a good steak house we ended up at Panther Grill & Bar in Schwabing yesterday evening. I don’t eat a lot meat but sometimes I just feel like having a good steak 😀 And we went to the right place. I’ve hardly ever had such a great steak in my life! As a starter I had carpaccio and my boyfriend tomato soup. Both was delicious 🙂 My boyfriend and I then both chose as a main course the “Surf & Turf” which was the right choice. As sides we went for sweet potatoe fries and asparagus. The combination was amazing!
Even the desert tasted divine! Therefore, I can totally recommend Panther Grill & Bar 🙂
2) Daddy Longlegs: $$
I admit the name sounds a bit funny 😛 But you can get delicious acai bowls there that taste almost as good as those in Hawaii 😉 Especially for breakfast Daddy Longlegs is the place to go 🙂
3) L’Osteria at “Küstlerhaus” (Artist House): $$
There is hardly a more classy atmosphere enjoying your pizza than in the “Künstlerhaus” in Munich. The pizza at L’Osteria is not only gigantic it also tastes gigantic 😀 As a starter I can recommend the “Instalata Tacchino” with shrimp and parmesan. It’s amazing!
4) Brenner: $$$$
One of my favorite restaurants because of the nice atmosphere and the delicious food is Brenner in Munich. My favorites there are the “warm vegetable salad” with shrimp and the “superfood salad” with quinoa and kale. Both are not only super delicous but also super healthy 🙂 My tip for you guys: don’t order a small salad as a main dish because it is not enough 😛
Here you can see a large “superfood salad”. It looks a bit funny but it is sooo good 🙂
5) Bohne & Malz: $$$
If you love salads, mexican food or good burgers Bohne & Malz is the right choice for you. There are two of them in Munich. The one at “Rathaus” is currently closed though due to renovations. But try out the Bohne & Malz at “Stachus”. The portions there are huge and you definitely won’t be hungry afterwards anymore 😀 I always get my leftovers to go which is no problem there.
6) Seehaus (Lake House): $$$$
In summer I love the beer garden at Seehaus with a view over the sea and the English Garden. In winter I love sitting inside having bruch with a view over the snow. The food at Seehaus is amazing and the amosphere is even more amazing 😉
7) Dean & David: $$
Those who like delicious salads will love Dean & David at “Fünf Höfe”. In summer you can sit outside there on the terrace 🙂 Dean & David is also the perfect healthy stop while doing some shopping.
8) Tenno: $$$
My favorite Asian restaurant in Munich is Tenno. My pilates studio is directly around the corner of Tenno. Hence, I often have lunch there afterwards. I can recommend you visiting Tenno for lunch and eating “Yakiniku” and edamame as a starter. You won’t regret it 🙂
For dessert you can then enjoy some buckwheat crêpes filled with green tea and sesame ice cream 😀
9) Vapiano: $$
I know many cities have a Vapiano but the one in Munich at “Fünf Höfe” is especially nice! In summer I love sitting at the terrace and enjoying the view over Munich 🙂
My personal favorite at Vapiano is the “Reef & Beef Salad”.
10) Hans im Glück: $$$
You can get the best burgers in Munich at Hans im Glück. Even the low carb burger and the salad there are delicious! And my tip: Order some sweet potatoe fries… they are amazing 😀
