My 10 New Year’s Resolutions for 2016

I find it really important setting yourself goals. Hence, I also think it’s a great idea writing down some new year’s resolutions. And to check them at the end of the year πŸ˜‰

2015 has been a very eventful, instructive and also wonderful year. Nevertheless, there are some things that I wanna change in 2016. Hence, my New Year’s Resolutions are the following:

1) Better keep in touch with friends

Traveling so much makes it really difficult keeping in touch with your friends. I often get invited to birthdays etc. which I cannot attend because I’m traveling. The next time I’m often not even invited anymore because I probably cannot attend anyways πŸ™ That’s really unfortunate but I find it’s my fault. I really need to keep in touch with my friends better and not only to my close ones.

2) Telling loved people more often how much they mean to me

This resolution is very important to me. My grandfather died a few years ago. Especially during Christmas time I always miss him a lot. He lived with us back then so he was like a second father to me. Now I would have liked to tell him how much he means to me even more often. Hence, I wanna do it differently with the loved people that are still around me.

3) Working out more often

This is a resolution that probably most people have πŸ˜€ I’m also among them and plan on working out more often in 2016.

4) Not to get upset about little things

In my blog posts about Christmas I wrote how important it is to be grateful for “obvious things” such as one’s health. How often is it that we get upset about small things such as the bad weather, the miserable tv program etc. Hence, I plan on changing that next year πŸ™‚

5) Spending more time with my family

Through Traveling you also don’t see your family so much. I wanna change that and take my parents more often along my trips such as to Kitzbuehel. Christmas has showed me again that family is the most important thing in life!

6) Putting my mobile aside more often

Being a small social media junkie this resolution will be the hardest one to achieve πŸ˜› But I find it very important for your friends and family to sometimes just put the phone aside and only live in the “real” world. This is also the reason why I don’t have Snapchat yet (although I’d like to) because my private life would suffer too much.

7) Listening to my health more oftenΒ 

Because I’m a workaholic even when I’m on vacation I often work until 2 or 3 am. This needs to change as it isn’t healthy on the long run. And our health is the most important thing we own!

8) Not having any fears

I wouldn’t describe myself as an anxious person. However, even I sometimes have worries and fears: The fear of being alone, the fear of missing a flight, the fear of doing things that I will regret later etc. For the new year I plan to just not think so much about things πŸ˜‰

9) Not postpone important things

I’m the master in doing important things the last minute. This is something I wanna change in 2016 πŸ˜€

10) Worry less, live more!

I wanna live next year according this principle. How often do we worry about the little things and forget to just enjoy life. I plan on doing that differently in 2016.
