28 Nov Camel Kisses, Desert Safari & City Tour – Abu Dhabi Travel Diary Day 1
Hi lovelies,
I am now blogging from Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, and the city of luxury and tradition.
Yesterday evening we went with Air Berlin from Duesseldorf to Abu Dhabi. Together with Isabelle, a girlfriend of mine, and Hannah and Sabrina, two of my lovely followers, we were able to go on this trip due to a LTUR giveaway. Really a great thing!
We are staying in the Royal Rose Hotel Abu Dhabi. The hotel is very pompous. Everything full of gold and deco 😀 Normally not really my thing but it kinda fits to Abu Dhabi… ha ha.
When we arrived we first had an amazing breakfast. The food here in the hotel is truly awesome! A huge selection of fresh fruit, pancakes, muesli etc. 🙂
Thereafter, we went on an Abu Dhabi city tour.
Unfortunately today is a holiday here in Abu Dhabi. Hence, the beautiful mosque was closed. That was really unfortunate. However, we will have a look at it tomorrow 🙂
We had lunch in the hotel as well. The selection there was just as amazing as the breakfast selection!
Have a look at the dessert buffet and the double chocolate fountain 😀
The highlight of today was a really cool desert safari. I’ve always wanted to do something like that and we didn’t get dissappointed.
We started with a desert ride in jeeps through the dunes. The girls screamed a bit because it was sometimes quite steep 😀
With the three girls 🙂
It was my first time in the desert and it was a truly fascinating experience!
Afterwards we arrived in a camal camp. I immediately fell in love with one of them 🙂 Such beautiful creatures!
For sunset we drove to a desert camp where we also had a delicious dinner. It was truly magical watching the sunset in the desert 🙂
A big highlight for me was trying out sand boarding for the first time. Being a snowboarder that was tons of fun!
Because so many of you asked: you can find my sweater and shorts here 🙂
Overall we had a beautiful first day here in Abu Dhabi. Now I’m falling really exhausting in my huge bed. And I’m super excited for tomorrow 🙂
Have a wonderful weekend!
Xoxo
