24 Nov Healthy Low Carb Cinnamon Rolls
Since I’ve lived in the USA for a while I’m a huge fan of the American Cinnamon Rolls. However, the original is not really healthy as it contains lots of sugar and fat 😛
Hence, I’ve created a recipe for you guys which is not only healthy but also low carb. Thus, it is perfect to prepare yourself for Christmas in a healthy way 😀

Maddi
Ingredients | Low Carb Yeast Dough
- 1 package dry yeast
- 75g almond flour or ground almonds
- 75g gluten – can be replaced by flour
- 50g vanilla protein powder – can be replaced by flour – I’m using the Vanilla Whey by Scitec Nutrition
- 1 egg
- 75g light curd or greek yogurt
- A bit salt
- 1 tablespoon sweetener of your choice
- Cinnamon
Ingredients | Greek Yogurt Creme
- 200g greek yogurt
- 1 – 2 tablespoons sweetener of your choice
- Lots of cinnamon
Ingredients | Glaze Option 1: Crem Cheese Glaze
- 3 tablespoons light cream cheese
- 1 tablespoons sweetener of your choice
Ingredients | Glaze Option 2: Healthy Sugar Glaze
- Sugar free powdered sugar
- A bit lemon juice, egg white or water
