Healthy Low Carb Cinnamon Rolls

Since I’ve lived in the USA for a while I’m a huge fan of the American Cinnamon Rolls. However, the original is not really healthy as it contains lots of sugar and fat 😛

Hence, I’ve created a recipe for you guys which is not only healthy but also low carb. Thus, it is perfect to prepare yourself for Christmas in a healthy way 😀

Ingredients | Low Carb Yeast Dough

  • 1 package dry yeast
  • 75g almond flour or ground almonds
  • 75g gluten – can be replaced by flour
  • 50g vanilla protein powder – can be replaced by flour – I’m using the Vanilla Whey by Scitec Nutrition
  • 1 egg
  • 75g light curd or greek yogurt
  • A bit salt
  • 1 tablespoon sweetener of your choice
  • Cinnamon

Ingredients | Greek Yogurt Creme

  • 200g greek yogurt
  • 1 – 2 tablespoons sweetener of your choice
  • Lots of cinnamon

Ingredients | Glaze Option 1: Crem Cheese Glaze

  • 3 tablespoons light cream cheese
  • 1 tablespoons sweetener of your choice
