12 Nov Whale Sharks, Private Island & many Drone Shots – Maldives Travel Diary Day 10
Hi lovelies,
this morning we woke up on Lonubo, the private island of Maafushivaru. It’s really an increcible feeling having a whole island by yourself.
First we had a delicious breaky. Being a huge papaya lover it’s the best for me indulging all those tropical fruit on the Maldives. Including plenty of fresh papaya 😀
Afterwards we flew around with the drone for a bit. You gotta take advantage that no one can complain on this island… ha ha.
Flying the drone is so much fun on the Maldives 😀
Later we explored the island for a bit and went swimming and snorkling.
This small island is simply stunning!
Some fresh fruit as a snack.
In the afternoon our whale shark tour started. We were told in advance that of course there is no guarantee that we will actually get to see whale sharks. The last group unfortunately didn’t see any. So I left with the believe that I would probably have to be satisfied swimming with fish. That was no necessary though because we saw a whale shark right in the beginning. I almost cried out of luck because they are just so gorgeous animals!
As if that hadn’t been already enough we saw a second whale shark a little later. So again into the water and following this beautiful animal 😀 So excited to show you the video.
Right before sunset we filmed again a bit with the drone. This time on the main island of Maafushivaru.
And now we’re falling asleep super happy about this beautiful day 🙂
Xoxo
