09 Nov Airline Review – With Trans Maldivian Airways to the Maldives
Hi lovelies,
both of my Airline Reviews for Qatar Airways auf die Malediven and for Singapore Airlines nach New York are one of your favorite blog posts so I decided to do Airline Reviews more often. Today it is a special Airline: Trans Maldivian Airways (TMA), the leading provider of seaplane transfers in the Maldives.
This morning we flew with TMA from Malé to Maafushivaru. The flight alone was already beautiful so I don’t wanna hide our pics from you 🙂
Some islands on the Maldives are approached via seaplane. Some other island which are very close to Malé such as Velassaru can be approached via speed boat. Some other islands which are further away from Malé are approached by seaplane.
The flight with TMA is quite short. The airplanes are small so of course you cannot compare it with a huge Airline like Qatar or Singapore Airlines. There is no food and no entertainment system on board 😛 But the service is great! Most of the times you will sit before boarding in a lounge of the island you will fly to. The lounge also has free food and drinks.
You can basically watch the pilots while flying because there is no cockpit door 😀 Big plus from my side… ha ha. We also talked to the pilots before. The uniform includes flip flops, cargo shorts and a pilot shirt with stripes. That’s it 😀 And they get to enjoy a stunning view over the islands daily! Maybe I should apply for TMA… ha ha.
That’s how my Rating for Trans Maldivian Airways looks like (5 is the maximum points):
Service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Airplanes ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Food n/a
Entertainment n/a
Extras ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Total-Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️.6 = 3.6 Stars
Overall I would definitely fly again with Trans Maldivian Airways. The airplanes certainly are not as comfortable as larger airplanes. But the view from above is simply stunning!
Have you ever flown with TMA? And if so what where your experiences?
Xoxo
