07 Nov Sharks, Spa & Nightlife on the Maldives – Travel Diary Day 6
Hi lovelies,
unfortunately the weather hasn’t been so great since we’ve arrived at Velassaru. But that is no problem as there are plenty things you can do on the island, even on a rainy day like today 🙂 For instance you can workout in the gym, indulge in some amazing food at the great restaurants here or get a treatment in the beautiful spa.
That is what we did today: we got a massage. I think it was the best massage ever!
Before that we had a delicious breakfast. The breakfast buffet at Velassaru is simply amazing! You can get selfmade waffles, crêpes, sushi, oatmeal, muesli, omlette, all fruit you like, different kinds of bread etc. So definitely plenty of options for all breakfast lovers like myself 😀

As you can see we didn’t need to starve 😀
That was our breakfast view. Still a bit cloudy but beautiful 🙂
On our way to breakfast we even saw a shark. And it wasn’t a baby shark but a quite large reef shark. These kinds of sharks are totally friendly. So I was super excited about having seen on of these beautiful and majestic creatures live.
After breakfast we went to the spa. The spa area at Velassaru is a dream! For instance there is a stunning infinity pool. Unfortunately the sun didn’t come out today but I think you can still get some impressions 🙂
After the treatment we got a yummy mango sorbet with little pineapple pieces.
Which you get to enjoy on the beautiful terrace along with this view 😀
Not sure what I was laughing about here 😀
But the best thing of the spa is the stunning infinity (whirl) pool 🙂

For dinner we went to the Japanese restaurant here on the island. The food was extremely delicious! It is being prepared right in front of your eyes which I find really cool 🙂
I really love Japanese food so it is great that they also have it on the island.
After dinner we saw some sharks again. As you can see they were not tiny 😛 But they are beautiful creatures!
To end the day we spent some time in the bar. Because it is Saturday there was an amazing DJ spinning songs by Aicii & Co. The atmosphere was perfect!
And now the day is almost over and we are hoping for better weather tomorrow. Maybe we can even film some more drone footage for you guys 🙂
