12 Oct Low Carb Donuts
I’m huge donut lover. Because of the high fat and carb content, regular donuts don’t really belong to healthy food 😛
Therefore, you can find a healthy alternative here. These donuts are even low carb and gluten-free 🙂
Ingredients | Dough (for 6 Donuts)
- 3 eggs
- 1/4 cup coconut flour (or other healthy flour)
- 3 tablespoons ground almonds (can be substituted by flour)
- 1/2 banana, mashed
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- A bit salt
- 2 tablespoons oil
- Approx. 1 tablespoon sweetener of your choice

Ingredients | Glaze option 1
- 30g protein powder – I used this one
- 2 tablespoons light curd or greek yogurt
- 2 tablespoons milk of your choice
- Food coloring

- Sugar free powdered sugar
- A bit lemon juice, egg white or water
- Food coloring
Directions | Donuts
- Mix all ingredients well.
- Pour it into a greased donut form or donut maker.
- Bake it at 170°C for approx. 20 minutes.
Directions | Glaze
- Mix all ingredients for the glaze.
- Pour it on donuts.
- Store donuts in fridge.
